Obituary

Elizabeth Susan Kinser was born January 17, 1953, the daughter of Leslie and Betty (Tillman) Kinser. She fought a life-long battle with congenital heart disease. She was called home by her Heavenly Father on December 7, 2009. She is survived by her parents, Leslie and Betty Kinser; two sisters, Christine Bromley and Ann Woods; a brother-in-law, Avis Woods; a niece, Diane Haney and a nephew, Zachary Haney of Tulsa; and a host of friends. Before her recent move to Springfield, she lived with her parents on a Century Farm in Mentor (Rogersville). She enjoyed genealogy and living in a 119 year old farm house, built by her great-grandfather. Elizabeth attended Tulsa Memorial High School, the University of Tulsa, and the University of Oklahoma, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. She moved to Springfield, Mo., after graduating from OU. She passed the CPA exam in Missouri. She was a warm and friendly person who enjoyed her membership in Christ Episcopal Church, P.E.O., Junior League of Springfield, Daughters of the American Revolution, Colonial Dames of the 17th Century, the Huguenot Society, the Literary Knitters, and Twin Oaks Country Club. She enjoyed her pets, especially her Scottie "Mic" and a black cat named "Momma." She was an excellent knitter and skilled in needlepoint and calligraphy. Words cannot express the void left in our hearts. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, December 11, 2009 in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel with burial following in Hazelwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 730 p.m., Thursday in the funeral home.
