Obituary

Betty was born in Marengo, IL on 8/6/1923 & departed this life 11/30/2016 at the young age of 93. She was born to W.L. Miller & Elizabeth Crissey.

She attended Marengo grade and high school. She graduated from George Williams College – University of Illinois. She held many fulfilling jobs in her life – YMCA in Chicago, National Parks & Recreation Association, Elementary Teacher in Ozark, MO, Springfield-Greene County Parks Dept., Camp Fire Girls Council of the Ozarks, MSU Supply Teacher, Drury University & retired from Greene County Library in 1988.

She has served on several community boards & was one of the founders of MSU Lady Bears Fast Break Club. She was an avid boater at Table Rock Lake/Sportmen's Club where she spent most summers especially after retirement.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother-Sherman Miller, sister-Sally Bullaro & great nephew-Craig Bullaro.

She leaves behind nephews – Jay (Vicki) Bullaro & Steve Miller, nieces – Linda (Stan) Oslaszewski & Betsy (Bob) Wise, great nephews – Ryan (Tarah) Bullaro, Keil Oslaszewski, Stevie Miller & Adam Wise, great nieces – Tiffany Oslaszewski & Stephanie Miller Northey and many friends who were like family to her.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 4, 2016 in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel with visitation to follow.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Council of Churches of the Ozarks, 627 N. Glenstone Ave., Springfield, MO 65802.
