Williams
March 14, 1945 – May 21, 2021
On the evening of Friday, May 21, 2021, Eli G. Williams, entered the gates of Heaven at the age of 76.
Eli was born on March 14,1945 to George S and Lena Williams in Gainesville, Missouri. He honorably served in the United States Marine Corps, after his service he resided in Mountain Grove, Mo where he owned and operated Eli's Glass and Radiator. He married his loving wife Jan on July 5,1969. They were blessed with two daughters, Jennifer and Cindy.
Eli had many titles, all of which he held with the greatest humility and compassion. He was an amazing husband, father, and Pa. Eli had a passion for his family and was always there for anyone who needed him. He was known to many for his wit and easy going personality, along with the genuine love he had for everyone he knew. Eli also had a love for Ford autos and fishing.
Eli is preceded in death by his mother, Lena, his father, George, mother and father in law, and sister Nadine. He is survived by his wife Jan, his two daughters Jennifer Wiliams, Cindy Henslee and her Husband Scott ("Son"). Grandchildren Ryan Henslee, wife Sarah, Lauren Henslee and Megan Henlsee. He is also survived by his sister Georgia Hancock, husband Joe Hancock, sister Pauline Fry, husband Bob Fry, sister in law and brother in law Lynn and Ronnie Atterberry and Jennifer's dog Jake. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, friends, and other family members who loved him dearly.
Eli's grandchildren were the loves of his life, he was their biggest fan and supported them in all of their ambitions. Eli was the first to get Ryan a four wheeler, which led to many years of competitive dirt bike racing- to which he attended every race he could. He then made Lauren and Megan's dreams come true of owning their own horse and was there to cheer them on at every rodeo they attended with their drill team.
Eli was a man of a lifetime and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. To know him was to love him.
Visitation will be held Monday, May 24, 2021 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, May 25 at 10:00 AM, also in the Funeral Home. Burial with full military honors will follow in Hopedale Cemetery. Full obituary will be added soon.
