Elba N. Davidson, age 83, of Springfield went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 3, 2010. Elba was born August 2, 1926 to Iva and Fred Ramay in Clarita, Oklahoma. She graduated from Gould, Oklahoma High School at the age of 16 and attended Oklahoma Baptist University. Elba worked as a secretary at the Oklahoma State Capital where she met her husband Don Davidson and were united in marriage April 16, 1949. Don made his career in the service of his country in the U.S. Air Force. She and Don traveled the world and lived in several countries and many states before retiring at Hide-Away Lake near Tyler, Texas. Don passed away October 12, 1996 of ALS. Elba, affectionately known as "Bo-Bo" was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother great-grandmother and homemaker. She loved golf, playing cards, reading and was an excellent seamtress. She is survived by her daughter Mical and husband Mark Roepke and her son Duke Davidson; two grandsons, Eric and wife Chrissy Roepke and Ryan Roepke, and five great-grandchildren; Ryan, Heather, Ethan, Cameron and Talan; also four nieces and four nephews. Elba was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and two sisters. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Cox Medical Centers' Stroke Unit for the compassionate care given during her stay. Visitation will by Thursday, March 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Elba will be buried at Memorial Park in Tyler, Texas next to her husband Don.
