Eilene passed away Monday, July 4, 2011 with her family by her side after a long illness. She was a member of United Church of Canada in Silton, Saskchewan and the Springfield Hospitality Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and May Burrows; grandson, Alexander Yarnton; sister, Joyce Charrett; son-in-law, Robert Stansberry, and her beloved dog "Bo". She is survived by her husband, Desmond J. Yarnton; her son, Richard D. Yarnton and wife, Anita Cintron Yarnton, their two sons, Christopher and Michael, and great-grandson, Carter; daughter, Joyce Anne Yarnton Stansberry; daughter, Lois Yarnton and husband, Rusty Thompson; and two sisters, Lilian Spaurel and husband, Len, and Dorothy Palmer. Eilene was a bookkeeper and business owner along with her husband Desmond in Puerto Rico for 31 years before retiring in Springfield to be close to family. She and her family enjoyed spending weekends at their cabin by the lake. Graveside services will be Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at 11:30 AM in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:30 to 7:30 PM in the funeral home. Family is requesting donations be made to the Springfield Alzheimer's Association, 1500 S. Glenstone, Springfield, Missouri 65804 in lieu of flowers.
