Edward (Ed) McGuire was born December 1, 1939 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Marquis and Evelyn McGuire. He passed away in his home Tuesday, April 5, 2016 with his loving family by his side.

Ed attended Arkansas State and served in the Army (military police). He and Carolyn Sue were married in 1965. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on December 11, 2015. He retired in 2001 from Burlington Northern Santa Fe after 42 years.

He was preceded in death by grandson, Mitchell.

Ed is survived by his wife; son Mark and wife Tracia; grandsons, Jacob and wife Julia, Joe and Josh; brother, Mike and wife Mary.

Funeral Services will be Friday, April 8, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 7 to 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

His legacy to his grandsons has been to appreciate fishing and hunting and to keep life in perspective.
