Edward Joseph Keohane (Ed, Eddie)

On Sunday, May 9, 2021, Eddie Keohane, husband, father, son and brother, passed away suddenly at the age of 44 years.  Ed will be forever remembered by his wife and best friend Erika Keohane, his son Jonas, his step-son Owen, his parents Patrick and Ann Keohane, his brother Kevin Keohane, sisters Katie Keohane and Beth Pottios, and his brother-in-law Pete Pottios.  Ed will also be lovingly remembered by his nieces, nephew and extended family and friends.

Ed earned his Master's Degree at Missouri State.  He then became a professor at the same University and has worked there for the past four years.  Ed also proudly served as a supervisor for the U.S. Postal Service in Springfield, Missouri, for six years.    He touched many lives in both of these positions.  He took so much pride in making people think outside their comfort zone.  He loved hearing everyone's story.  He was an amazing listener and could always be counted on to make you laugh.  And when you saw him, if only the day before, he would greet you with open arms.  He will truly be missed and remembered, by many family and friends.

The arrangements will be handled by Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, 1947 E. Seminole Street, Springfield, Missouri 65804.  There will be a small Prayer Service held at their local church for the immediate family Tuesday, May 18, 2021.  Cards and condolences can be sent to:
