Edward Leigh Good, age 56, of Springfield, MO passed away at Mercy Hospital, Thursday, February 1, 2018 after a short illness.

Edward Leigh was born March 19, 1961 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, MO to Harold Jackson and Shirley (Miller) Good.  He attended Ritenour Schools until the family relocated to Springfield, MO in 1974.  He attended Hickory Hills Jr. High and graduated in 1979 from Glendale High School.

He began college at Southwest Baptist University at Bolivar, continued at Missouri State and finished at Pittsburg State University graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Organ Performance in 1989 and a Master's Degree in Organ Performance and Music Theory and Music Composition in 1993.  After graduation, he became the manager of Ernie Williamson Music store.  He was Director of Music, organist and hand bell Director at First Christian Church, Pittsburg, KS.  He was an accompanist for Pittsburg Community Theatre as well as for weddings and funerals.

His father and baby sister preceded him in death.  He is survived by his mother, Shirley Good, of Springfield, MO.

Memorial services will be at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, Springfield, MO on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.  Visitation will be held from 10 – 11:00 a.m.
