With his family by his side, Edward T. Daniel, passed away on his 79th birthday, July 23, 2010. Ed was born July 23, 1931 in Bells, TN. He joined the Navy during his senior year in high school at Earle, AR and served in the Korean Conflict. After serving the military, he earned a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Arkansas, while attending on a football scholarship. Ed had two successful careers, his first path lead him to become a successful Life Insurance Agent and Pension Actuary; reaching the MILLION DOLLAR ROUND TABLE achievement. His success was recognized in many ways, though he particularly enjoyed being featured in Napoleon Hill's book " Sell and Grow Rich' for his drive and sales ability. Ed's successes lead him to retire from his first career at age forty-two. His drive and passion in sales opened the door to this second career in real estate several years later. Ed was a longtime Mountain Home Realtor and former owner of Gilbert Realty. His sales success, in the region as well as the entire State of Arkansas was unprecedented and regularly recognized. He is survived by his wife, Stella Daniel of Springfield, Missouri, his four childrenEddie Daniel of Gainesville, Florida, Jimmy Daniel of Mountain Home, Tammy Copeland of Bentonville, Arkansas, and Sheila Maerz of Springfield, Missouri, five grandchildrenScotty Daniel, Danielle & Corbin Copeland, Samantha, Jessica,& Mary Maerz, two brothersWalter Daniel of Marion, AR & William Daniel of Bluefield, VA. The family is planning a private memorial, with full military honors, at the Veteran's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to your local Human Society in Ed's memory.
