Edna Lea Barcomb passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at the age of 89.  She was born in Nixa, Missouri, the daughter of Alfred Young and Willie Keller Young.  Lea was proud to be from "Nixie."

On June 7, 1950 Lea was married to Bill Barcomb.  Lea was an accountant for the Madden Oil Company in Springfield for many years where she and Bill resided.  She and Bill were members of Southminster Presbyterian Church.

Lea loved sports.  She and Bill attended the MSU Bears basketball games – both men's and women's.  She and Bill shared 56 years of marriage until his passing in 2007.  In her later years, a rescue dog named Maisy was her beloved companion.

Lea was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Cecil Young; and a nephew, Roger Young.  She is survived by nieces, nephews and loving friends.

Friends and relatives may view Lea Barcomb on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 after 12:00 PM at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, 1947 East Seminole.  A graveside service will be held for Lea at Rivermonte Memorial Gardens, 4500 S. Lone Pine, at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 28, 2019.
