Edmond L. Shafer, 72, of Springfield, Missouri passed away April 1, 2020 in Springfield Skilled Care Center.  Ed was born November 23, 1947 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Shafer family were residents of the Springfield community for many years from the 1950's.

Ed was an Eagle Scout and received a BA degree from SMSU. Ed was a store manager for Walmart, worked at Dayton, and was a Heavy Equipment Operator.

Ed was preceded in death by Mary Jane Shafer (mother), Sam Albert Shafer (father), sisters; Helen (Shafer) Rulon, and Becky Shafer. He is survived by his son, Kevin Shafer, sisters; Mina (Shafer) Twiss, Gloria (Burns) Kojakanian and a brother, Mike Shafer and many other relatives.

Informal visitation will be held Monday, April 6, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Only 10 people will be allowed in the Funeral Home at a time. Friends can leave condolences at gormanscharpf.com. Private Graveside Service will be held at a later date in Hazelwood Cemetery.
