Edgar Lee Nolte, (Ed), 78, was born March 2nd, 1933 in Butler, Missouri to Laura Schr oeder Nolte, and Raymond Herman Nolte. Ed attended Bowling Green High School, in Bowling Green, MO and graduated in 1951. He attended William Jewel College, Liberty, MO, and graduated in 1955. While there he met Julia Rogers and they were married on August 13th, 1955. Edgar entered his heavenly home on January 5, 2012. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Julia Rogers Nolte, and is survived by his sons and their wives: Scott & Cami, Jeff & Amy, Chris, Susan, David & Sheila, and daughter Julia Rogers Nolte. Surviving grandchildren are Brandon and Ryan; Curtis, Allie, Bryce, and Patrick; Krista, Megan, and Tyler. He is also survived by two loving sisters-in-law Barbara Ann Joy and Miriam Jean Gentry as well as one brother-in-law Cecil Gentry, a niece Kristen Joy Rehorn, and three nephews, Robert Curtis Joy, Matthew Calvin Gentry, and Mark Cecil Gentry. Funeral Services will be held at First Baptist Church, 525 South Ave. Springfield, MO. at 10 am on Tuesday, the 10th day of January, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Baptist Cemetery in Concordia, Missouri.
