Edgar Galinanes, 94, of San Juan, Puerto Rico passed away at 4:00 p.m. on January 28, 2012 in Springfield, MO. He was a devoted family man and friend. Guided by God's grace, he lived a wonderful life. He was preceded in death by his spouse, Mary Galinones LaFont; siblings, Cucha, Jose, Julio, Segi and Quique. Edgar is survived by his son, Dr. Edgar L. Galinanes and daughter-in-law, Jean Marie; granddaughter, Jan Gabrielle; and grandson, Dr. Edgar Luis Galinanes. Memorial mass will be held Friday, February 3, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 3555 S. Fremont Ave., Springfield, MO 65804, with The Reverend Thomas A. McGann CMF celebrating. Arrangements are under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. No visitation is scheduled.
