Eddie M. Crabb of Springfield, MO, passed away peacefully on Sept. 21, 2024, with his family by his side. He was born on March 29, 1936, in Stone County, MO, to Walter M. Crabb and Lenna Ellis Crabb. From an early age, Eddie worked on the family farm and helped out with the family's Cross Roads General Store. After graduating from Galena High School and serving in the United States Marine Corps, he became an entrepreneur and was involved in a number of Springfield restaurants, including the popular Shakey's Pizza Parlor on south Glenstone. Most of his professional life was spent in the real estate business, and he worked for many years as a realtor at Murney and Associates.

In 1963 Eddie married Carol Sue Walton, and they shared a wonderful life, spending many weekends boating at Table Rock Lake. Eddie and Carol loved traveling together and spending time with friends and family.

Eddie is survived by his son Michael Crabb and daughter Jana Crabb, his brother Bill Crabb and wife Jane, as well as several nieces, and members of the Hughlett and Stallings family. He was preceded in death by his wife Carol, parents Walter and Lenna, sister Norma Lee Crabb and brother Jack Dennis Crabb.

A memorial service will be held Sept. 27, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, 1947 E. Seminole, in Springfield. Memorial contributions may be made to C.A.R.E. Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 215, Aurora, MO, 65605.
