Earnest Dale Giboney was born October 7th, 1939 in Springfield, Missouri, to Eldon and Mary Giboney, and was delivered into the arms of Jesus on March 18, 2026, in Springfield, Missouri.
Earnest graduated from Central High School in Springfield, Missouri in 1957. Earnest spent a few years as a cook in local restaurants and many years as a painter in the surrounding area and in California. After he retired, he spent several years delivering anything from newspapers to donor blood at the area hospitals.
Earnest loved arrowhead hunting in his free time and had quite a collection for several years. He enjoyed making/painting pottery and in later years enjoyed going to flea markets and garage sales.
Earnest is survived by three sisters, Edith (Robert) Bradley, Wanda (Danny) Westfall, Loretta (Gary) Dunlap and one brother, Kenneth Giboney, His son, Howard Giboney and daughter, Debbie Bain. Two grandsons Dustin and Brandon Bain. One great granddaughter Kinley Bain and one great grandson Tanner Bain. He also leaves behind many nephews and nieces. Earnest was preceded in death by his Father Eldon Giboney, his mother Mary Giboney, his wife Mary Ann Giboney, his daughter Earnestine Slavens, his son Larry Dale Giboney.
A Celebration of Life will be April 17, 2026 at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel at Springfield Villa, Springfield, MO. He will be laid to rest in Mt. Olive Cemetery just northeast of Olive, MO.
