Earl Donivan Dean, 95, of Springfield, succumbed to cancer in the comfort of his own home, surrounded by his family, on January 31, 2022. He was a Christian man who was always thinking of others.

Earl was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to others. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, family and reading books – especially the Bible. He also enjoyed the beauty of nature in the country and the beautiful, flowering blooms on his roses and other bushes.

He was preceded in death by his wife, LeVon.

He is survived by three children: Anita Bryant, Allan Dean and Cheryl Laney; seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren; brothers Jerry, Larry, Gary and a sister, Geniece.

Special thanks to his wonderful and caring Mercy medical team and to Integrity Hospice for always being there for Earl's final care and support.

Informal Visitation for friends and family will be Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 1:00 – 7:00 PM at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be Friday, February 4 at 10:00 AM at Hazelwood Cemetery.
