Kenneth Dwayne Hillme
July 8, 1949 – September 6, 2024

Kenneth "Dwayne" Hillme, 75, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2024. Born on July 8, 1949, in Lebanon, Missouri, Dwayne lived a life full of love, dedication, and service.

A proud graduate of Lebanon High School in 1967, Dwayne went on to serve his country in the United States Air Force for four years. After his honorable service, he was an air traffic controller in Cedar Rapids Iowa.  He then returned to Missouri to further his education, earning his degree from Missouri State University. Dwayne was a man of integrity and perseverance, dedicated to both his country and his family.

In 1978, Dwayne married his high school sweetheart, Twila, and together they shared a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and memories. He is survived by his beloved wife, Twila Hillme; his sister-in-law, Melva Cole; his brother, Ronald Hillme, and Ronald's wife, Marilyn; his nephews, Ryan Cole, Shane Taylor, and Patrick Hillme; his nieces, Jenna Cole and Renee Hillme; and his grandchildren, Hollis Cole, Megan Fox, and Alex Fox.

Dwayne will be remembered for his kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. He leaves behind a legacy of service, faith, and family that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at 2:00 PM Central Time, where family and friends will gather to celebrate his life.
