Obituary

Delbert (Dub) Lane, 74, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Mercy Hospital. He had been a patient there since October 3 rd .

Dub was born April 26, 1947 in Diggins, Missouri to Lee and Marguarite Lane. He attended Gentry Grade School and graduated from Seymour High School in 1965. He came to Springfield for awhile and then went to work in Kansas City running heavy equipment before returning to Springfield. He started building houses and apartments with his father and then had the opportunity to remodel a lounge he had purchased calling it "Dubs". He later sold that and started building homes in Branson. When he finished that, he and some investors built Ozark Mountain Stadium. After that he and his partner developed Hand L Builders buying land around Fremont and building patio homes.

Dub is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Barbara. He is survived by his wife, Leilani and son, Matt (Kiera), and PA-PA's special grandchild, Gatlyn.

He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed going to many local races. He also loved riding his Harley.

Dub was very proud of his son and was always involved with his basketball practices and tournaments. He often traveled with the team to lots of cities to support the boys, especially Matt.

We will all miss him dearly but have so many memories. He will never be forgotten. He was definitely one of a kind and always had a "one liner". We will remember the "roundabout story" and "I think I know her and she knows me". When heaven's gates open, the old time friends will be there to greet him.
