Doyle O. Kinder, M.D., affectionately called "Doc", age 79 died on March 3, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born on September 11, 1938 in Sturkie, AR to J.O. and Cleo McClain Kinder.

He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas and his Medical Degree from University of Arkansas at Little Rock, AR in 1969. As a Family Physician, he worked and passionately took care of his patients, which he called his extended family.

Survivors include his wife Bobbie Kinder; son, Mark Kinder; daughter, Connie Hicks and husband, Stephen; daughter, Mistena Gould and husband, Mike; eight dearly loved grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and sister, Edna Blevins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three siblings; daughter, Michelle Kinder; and daughter-in-law, Tracy Kinder.

An avid reader and outdoorsman – he enjoyed taking daily hikes in the woods and loved to fish and hunt. He considered himself of all men most fortunate, having a wife who loved and was loved, having a vocation he thoroughly enjoyed, with what he called, "the best patients of any Doc in the world", children and grandchildren he loved more than life itself. He taught the Pioneer Sunday School Class for many years at University Heights Baptist, volunteered at the Kitchen Clinic and after retirement volunteered at Mercy Hospice

It is not a time to weep tears but celebrate and remember the good times we have had. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from 6 p.m.- 8 p.m. at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Service will be held Wednesday March 7, 2018 at University Heights Baptist at 12 noon. Burial will be private.

Instead of flowers, memorials in his honor may be made to Grand Oaks Baptist Mission Center, or Victory Mission.
