Dorothy Geraldine Weaver, 91 of Springfield passed away Monday, February 14, 2011 at Cox South Hospital. She was born November 4, 1919 in Rogersville, Missouri to Thomas B. and Minnie Felton Swearengin, the seventh of ten children. She graduated from Gravois Mills High School. For many years she worked in bookkeeping at Heer's Department Store and later at several area banks. She lived most of her life in Springfield and was a charter member of Sunset Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles B. Weaver who died April 15, 1984, six brothers and one sister. She is survived by two sisters, Beaulah Fitzpatrick and husband Roger of Nixa, MO and Bettie Smittle of Springfield, MO; son, Frank Weaver and wife Lynnette of Highlandville, MO; daughter, Norma Stieb and husband Bob of Springfield; son Charlie Weaver of Springfield; eleven grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, many loving nieces, nephews and numerous friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 18, 2011 in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel with Joe Bright officiating. Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery.
