Dorothy Lee Strick, 67 of Branson passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014 in Mercy Hospital. Dottie was born June 15, 1947 in Brooklyn, New York to William and Dorothy Cooper Lyons. She cared for over 1000 children in a 43 year career as a child care provider. She loved every child as if they were her own. She enjoyed reading and loved Mikey Gilley, she saw his show every month he was in Branson. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, William Lyons. Dottie is survived by her husband, Bob of the home; a daughter, Karen; adopted daughter, Kaye Holman and husband, Audy; four grandchildren, Audry, Camille, Samuel (Sam) and Olivia of Cassville; brother Brad Lyons and wife, Sandy; niece, Bonnie Lyons and nephew, Gus Lyons. The family wants to thank Drs. John Bumberry, Snider, Bansal & Thomas Thomas as well as all the nursing staff, PCA's and hospice staff at Mercy Hospital. Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 11 am in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel with Rev. Stacey Williams officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 - 8 pm in the funeral home.
