Obituary

Dorothy Pauline Reynolds was born Sept. 17, 1913, in Wellington, Kansas, the daughter of Lillie Mae Smith and Frank Lloyd Smith. After high school graduation, she married her high school Science teacher, Alvin L. Miller, who preceded her in death. To this union one son was born, Marvin L. Miller, who preceded her in death. She is survived by one granddaughter, Linda Matthys and her husband Neal, of Ramona, California. She was married in 1970, to Arthur E. Reynolds, who preceded her in death in 1993. She is survived by one stepson, Robert T. Reynolds and his wife Mary Ann and one daughter-in-law, Nancy Reynolds, all from Virginia; and seven children. She was the divisional manager for the Old American Insurance Co., in Albany, Mo., for 28 years before her retirement in 1972. She was a member of Sweitzer Methodist Church and Susanna Circle. She was also a member and past President of the Springfield Lioness Club and past President of Business & Professional Womens Clubs in Albany, Mo. A memorial service will be held in the Gorman Scharpf Funeral Home, 1947 East Seminole, Springfield, Mo., on September 24, 2010 at 11 a.m.
