Dorothy "Dotti" Marie Picotte was called to Heaven by her Lord and Savior, on March 30, 2014, at the age of 70. Dotti was born in Wagner, SD on October 27, 1943, to Paul Allen and Bertha Lill Picotte. Dotti graduated from Geddes, SD in 1961, and attended college for 3 years at South Dakota State University at Brookings, SD. She served in the US Army from December 1964 until November 1970, in the Medical field, where she studied for a career as an EEG specialist. She left the army to work at St. John's (Mercy) in Springfield, MO as an Echocardiographer, for 34 years, retiring from there in 2005. She loved her job and all of her co-workers, providing them candy and treats until her retirement. She also loved country music, particularly Aaron Tippin and Jeff Bates. She attended Country Music Fan Fair, in Nashville, TN for over 20 years, with her sisters Linda and Bev, plus her niece, Tammy. She never married, or had children, but has numerous nieces and nephews, who loved her dearly. Dotti had a strong faith in her Lord and Master Jesus, and she knew she was going to Heaven to be in the arms of Jesus forever. Immediate family who will cherish her memory are four sisters, Margaret Davis of Kansas City, MO; Beverly Robbins of Sioux City, IA, Linda Buel and Deanne Stehlow, both of South Sioux City, NE; and two brothers, Clifford (Joyce) of Rapid City, SD and Allen (Virginia) Picotte of Olathe, KS. Preceding her to Heaven were both sets of grandparents; Mom and Dad; three sisters; three brothers and two nieces. They are reunited now, and for that we are grateful! Dotti we love you and will miss you until that glorious day that we join you. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Friday, April 4, 2014 in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel with visitation at 10:00 am until service time.
