Dorothy (Gourley) Kresser, 96, of Springfield, MO, passed away January 16, 2025. She was born April 2, 1928 in Texas County, MO. She was the daughter of Roy H. and Veda (Deck) Gourley. She attended Springfield Public Schools and was a member of Saint James Episcopal Church. She retired from Premier Food Marketing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy B. Kresser.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Plaster) Chesney (Gary) of California; grandsons Douglas Chesney (Cindy) of California and Steven Chesney (Susan) and their children Oliver and Eva of London, England; step-children Linda Kresser Reese and James Kresser and many nieces, nephews and other close family and friends.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Saint James Episcopal Church. No formal visitation is planned.
