She dearly loved every family member and adored her four great-granddaughters. Dorothy and her son moved to Springfield from Kansas City in 1963. In Springfield she became the manager of The Paris where she remained until closing the store in 1991. Dorothy made many friends while working there. She and her husband Jim made many trips, including Hawaii, Holland, Italy, Alaska, as well as many in the states. She wants her son and his wife to know how much she loved and appreciated their many kindnesses and in taking care of all the details when she no longer could. She would also like to send a special thanks to Hospice Palliative Care and their staff for all the loving care they provided. She believed that grief is the price we pay for love.
