Doris Rachel Welch, 82, Springfield passed away at 5:05 PM, Sunday, December 16, 2012 in the Neighborhoods of Quail Creek in Springfield. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary #624, Sunrise Beach, MO. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Brown, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Harry L. Welch, Springfield; three sons, Henry Brown III, Roeland Park, KS, Terrence Lee Brown, Kansas City, KS and Anthony Kent Brown, Kankakee, IL; a daughter, Jennifer C. Belcher, Bella Vista, AR; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 11:30 to 12:30 on Thursday, December 20, 2012 in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday in Missouri Veterans Cemetery with Chaplain Ray Bassett officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 3520 S.
