Jeanne had an interest in a variety of collections but her interest in Santa Claus turned into a passion. The result was a collection that some might say was extreme. Special thanks to friends and family that contributed to her collection for over 40 years. Jeanne followed in the footprints of her mother, Doris, in her love and interest for playing contract bridge. She was a long time member of the local ACBL unit 101, attaining the rank of Silver Life Master. She also enjoyed needlepoint, many kinds of card games and puzzles, scrapbooking, cooking, entertaining and had the opportunity to travel extensively. Her local business endeavors included Rhodes Concrete and Scenic Properties and was a member of Fellowship Bible Church in Rogersville. She was outgoing, generous and a loving Christian lady. When it came to her family, their happiness and taking care of them was the only thing that mattered to Jeanne. And when there were visits from or to her grandchildren, everything else took a back seat. She gave them all her love, caring development, travel and so many fun experiences. She was up for anything when it came to them and they will take a part of her with them throughout their lives and be better people and better Christians because of Jeanne. Special thanks to friend, Joan, for the care and compassion over the last few months of her struggle with health issues. Visitation will be Sunday, April 12, 2015 from 7 to 8pm in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home,1947 E. Seminole. Celebration Services will be Monday, April 13, 2015 at 10am in the funeral home, with Sid Allsbury officiating.
