Doris Howard Fitzgerald Doris Howard Fitzgerald passed away peacefully at 7:30 a.m, Friday May 28, in St John's Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, after a long battle with cancer. Doris is survived by her husband of 27 years, Bob; her two sons, Andrew and Brian; and three step-sons, Mike, Marlin and Tony. Doris' siblings are Carol Sampson of Grinnell, Kevin Howard of Des Moines and Sharon Hansen of Iowa City, all in Iowa. Funeral services will be held in Schweitzer United Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday June 6, 2010, with a reception immediately following the services.
