Doris Lea Craig, 93 Springfield died, June 8, 2021, in Glendale Gardens. She was born January 4, 1928. She worked at Lambert's Café for 14 years and was the oldest employee working until she was 88.
Doris was a member of South Street Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
She is survived by daughters, Sue Fuller; and Joyce Bridges, and her spouse Keith; son, Haden Cox; stepdaughter, Glenda Inman; brother, Byron Wolf, and his wife Jesse Marie; sisters-in-law, Mary Wolf and Jo Wolf Jackson. She also leaves behind grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and many extended family and friends.
Doris was preceded in death by spouse, John Craig; sister, Hazel Bunch; brothers, James Wolf, Willis Wolf, Curtis Wolf and Kenneth Wolf; and parents, Lula and Denver Wolf.
Doris like to sew, dance, and enjoyed the outdoors – camping, floating and fishing. She enjoyed meeting people, was always kind, friendly and cheerful and had a positive attitude. She was loved and admired by all who knew her.
The family wishes to extend gratitude to the administration and staff at Glendale Gardens.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at Hazelwood Cemetery with Reverend Janet Given, South Street Christian Church, officiating, under the care of Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Lung Association, www.lung.org .
