Doris Irene Courtney, 93, Billings, MO passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016 in Cox South. She was born July 24, 1923 in Golden City, MO, the daughter of Fred and Belva Curry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; her daughter, Nancy Sue Charlton; and a great-grandchild, Gisela.

She is survived by her son and his wife, Charles F. and Patricia Courtney; a daughter and her husband, Alice Jane and David Shelby; seven grandchildren, Barry Shepherd, Darcy Shepherd, Lance Shepherd, Tara Podrecca, Chandler Beshears, Scott Courtney and Craig Courtney; three great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 2016 in First Christian Church in Republic, MO. Private family burial will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
