Obituary

Donna Warner, 70, of Springfield, MO passed away on April 19th, 2023 after a short illness. She was born Donna Jean Mullins on March 2nd, 1953 to Don Mullins & Juanita (Compton) Mullins in Sacramento, California. After Donna graduated Parkview High School, class of 1971, she started her career in advertising sales for KWTO, KICK, KTTS, 417 Magazine and Inland Printing Company. She then became the owner / operator of Sunshine Preschool in 1983 to1994 where she impacted many young lives. Donna was a member of Unity Spiritual Center for twenty-five years then became the Church Administrator in 2002 where she stayed until her retirement in 2021 to spend more time with her dogs and family.

Donna was a leader in her community and a proud member of her ladies group the Que Sera Sera "QSS" for over half of her life. Her sweet spirit and smile will be missed by all, from those who meet her once, to those who knew her for years. She loved getting together with friends, planning activities with her grandkids and all the pets that came into and out of her life. Donna married, in succession, John Waite II, Jim Handley and Bill Warner.

Donna is survived by her husband Bill Warner and three sons, John Waite III of Las Vegas NV, Lincoln Waite and Austin Handley of Springfield MO and her stepson David Warner of Weitersweiler Germany. As well as her brother David Risteau of New York, sister Janice Gigliuto of California, brothers Steve Mullins of Lee's Summit, MO. and Greg Mullins of Blue Springs, MO. She is also survived by her eleven grandchildren which were the light of her life.

She was preceded in death by her Mother, Father and beloved aunt Wanda Cooper.

Donna's zeal for life was prevalent until the very end. She was a dear friend to all who knew her and a loving presence in any room that she occupied. She leaves a legacy of love behind with all of the lives that she touched.

Services will be held at Unity Spiritual Center 3233 S Kauffman Road, (Farm Road 123) on May 21st at 2:00 with a celebration of life to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your animal shelter of choice.
