Donna E. Thompson passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family on January 20, 2019 at 11:15 pm at Mercy Hospital. She was the daughter of Bob and Betty Knox and was born on March 22, 1953 in Fort Scott, Kansas.  She attended school in Springfield Missouri. She went to elementary school at Eugene Field, then attended Pershing junior high school, and graduated from Glendale high school.  She was preceded in death by her parents Bob and Betty Knox and her sister Terry Knox. She is survived by children, Tyler and Troy Thompson; sister Trudy Gripka; grandchildren Tayt, Taylor, Turner, and Allie; nieces Tara and Shella Gentry and Samantha and Kortney Gripka. She had several grand-nieces and nephews.

Donna loved sports and watching her boys and grandkids over the years play and compete. She was a regular volunteer every year at the Price Cutter Charity Championship. She loved the holidays and bringing her friends together to celebrate them. Her radiant smile and quick wit will be missed by all her friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 24 from 5 to 7 PM at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home on Seminole.  Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 25 at 11 AM at the funeral home.
