Donna Hill McGinnis, daughter of Noble and Ameda Scott Hill, was born on May 3, 1936, and died on August 18, 2012. She was married to Michael McGinnis on July 14, 1957, in Gainesville, Missouri. They were blessed with 55 years together. Donna graduated from Gainesville High School, and from Missouri State (SMS) in 1957. She taught high school in Brunswick, Missouri while her husband finished graduate school. Donna, a loving homemaker, served her church in many capacities as her husband Michael was minister to First Christian Church in Aurora, Missouri for five years, and Central Christian Church in Springfield, Missouri for 35 years. Donna is survived by her husband, Michael, three sons, Sean McGinnis of Springfield, Tim and Susan McGinnis of Wheaton, IL, and Brendan and Julie McGinnis of Branson, Missouri. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Charles and Katherine of Wheaton, IL; Blake of Orlando, FL, and Jordan, Alexa, and Sydney of Branson, MO. Donna was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Larry. She was a member of PEO and South Street Christian Church. A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2012 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at South Street Christian Church with private graveside service in Selmore Cemetery, at a later date.
