Donna Ruth Hartin, 88, of Springfield went to join her Lord and Savior on November 18, 2016.  Donna was born in Augusta, Kansas to Audrey and Martha (Mattie) Adams(Nance).  She graduated from Ava High School and attended SMS college.  Donna was married to Johnnie Hartin for 61 years, until his passing in 2009.  She taught school in Goodhope before moving to Springfield where in 1952 she went to work for Kraft Foods for more than twenty years.  Donna and Johnnie also developed property and built homes in West Springfield.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents and brother Harold O. Adams. She is survived by her nieces Denice Lanuti (Vito), Cynthia Adams (Anthony) and nephew Harold Adams, Jr. Also, her grandniece Alycia Adams and grandnephews Frederick and Mitchell Adams.

Donna was a hard worker. She also loved gardening as well as her pet dogs and cats. She missed the children she taught in Goodhope and called them her 23 little children.  Christmas was special to the 3 Cline girls across the street from Donna because she would give them special gifts each year.  Her heart was pure with God's love and was a devout Christian reading her bible daily.  She will be missed deeply by her family and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.  Graveside service will follow at Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in Good Hope Cemetery in Ava, Missouri.
