Donald Modica, 87 of Springfield, Missouri passed away peacefully at home on Monday afternoon September 24, 2018.

He was born on January 31, 1931 in Cleveland, Ohio to Lucy and Jack Modica.  Don married the love of his life Betty Jean Davis in 1955. They went on to raise a loving family full of fun and adventure.

He was a graduate of Brush High School, Ohio State University and Army Officer Training.  He admirably served the United States Army for over 20 years and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1973.

Don was a loving father and husband who always led the way with confidence and a great sense of humor.  He will be greatly missed by all of the lives he touched.

Services will be held in the Spring of 2019 at the Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.  Date and time will be announced.
