Donald "Don" Glenn McDaniel was born June 23, 1939 in Springfield, MO to Glenn and Blanche McDaniel. He passed from this life on October 12, 2022, at his home at the age of 83. Don became a Christian at an early age and was a member of South Street Christian Church. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed playing and coaching softball, was on bowling teams, loved the lake, fishing and going to car shows. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He attended Springfield Schools and graduated from Parkview High School before attending college at Drury. Don was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. He loved being around a ball field and people. He lived a full and meaningful life until the end. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.  Don is survived by his wife Donna; Son-Kendall McDaniel and wife Brooke; Daughter-Kristen Rippe, and grandkids; Bridget Rippe, Kayler Bosancu and husband Ben, Simon Kazempour, Declan, and Eloise McDaniel, great grandkids Sebastian and Penelope, and many nieces and nephews.

Throughout his life, Don worked at Morris Equipment Company, Queen City Supply, Williams Chemical and Ken-Mac Products.

Visitation will be Sunday, October 16, 2022 from 3:00 – 4:00 PM at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Graveside service with full military honors will be held Monday, October 17, 2022 at 2:00 PM in Maple Park Cemetery.  Online condolences may be made at www.gormanscharpf.com .
