Donald A. Davis, 71, Springfield, MO, passed away at 9:30 AM, Friday, October 8, 2010 in St. John's Hospital. He was born May 17, 1939 in Fostoria, Ohio, the son of Herbert and Helen Davis. He was a member of Elks Lodge (BPOE #409) and Springfield Rod and Gun Club. His hobbies were vintage autos and target shooting. Donald served in the United States Army from 1957-1960. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Mary Ann Weber Davis, Springfield; two sons, Donald (Bradley) Davis and wife Mitzi, Fostoria, Ohio and Joe LeCompte, Windham, Ohio; two daughters, Jackie Volkmer and husband Gary, Fostoria, Ohio and Jennifer Baxter and husband Robert, Findlay, Ohio; two brothers, Duane Davis and wife Joyce, Greentown, Ohio and Gary Davis and wife Cynthia, Bloomdale, Ohio and seven grandchildren. Memorial services will be held a t 1:00 PM, Wednesday, October 13, 2010 in Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel with Father Daniel Robles officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM, Tuesday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society at Immaculate Conception Church.
