Don Young passed away, September 10, 2011 at the age of 84. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and loyal friend. His passions in life were business deals at any level, reading, mentoring, reciting poetry, bird hunting, fishing and especially field trialing bird dogs. One of his dogs, The Magic Moment, was inducted into the Field Trial Hall of Fame in 2001. He was tough-minded yet compassionate. He liked to have younger people around him and helped many to set goals in their lives and realize their potential. This may be his true legacy. Don Young is survived by his wife Laure'; daughter, Gail Curtis and her husband Marvin; son, Ross Young and his wife Judy; granddaughters, Erin Curtis Cassetto and her husband Rob and their daughter Jordan (Washington), Whitney Curtis Reary and her husband Brendan (South Dakota), Brett Young (Louisiana) and grandson Reid Young (Alabama) and Cappy. Friends are invited to an informal celebration of Don's life at his home on Saturday, September 17, 2011 starting at 11:00.
