Obituary

Diane Leseman, 83, departed this world on Thursday, March 20, 2025, surrounded by her family.  She was born September 1, 1941, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Rudy Kuettner and Marjorie (Kuettner) White.

Diane grew up in St. Paul, and after graduating from North St. Paul High School, went on to nursing school and received her LPN diploma.  She got a job at St. John's Hospital in St. Paul, where she met Bob Leseman.  They were married on September 9, 1961.  They had two daughters, Linda Leseman and Karen (Leseman) Kershaw.

Diane loved her family and participated in all celebrations.  A close second was her love for cats. There was always a cat(s) on her lap. She also loved gardening and had the greenest thumb ever.  She enjoyed movies, playing games on her tablet, and reading when her vision was good.  She cherished her lifelong friendships with Linda T., Joyce, Nancy, and all the ladies who met routinely at "Club" meetings that spanned nearly six decades.  They caught up on each other's lives, shared stories and recipes, ate, drank, and laughed.

She was greeted in Heaven by those who preceded her in death…her husband, Bob, her mother, Marjorie White and stepdad, William White, her father, Rudy Kuettner, her stepmom, Betty Kuettner, her Auntie Jeannette, her brother, Tom, her sister, Patti, and her mother-in-law, Florence Leseman.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Leseman, her daughter Karen (Mark) Kershaw, grandchildren, Will Kershaw, Faith (Dylan) Rust, and great grandson, Henrik William Rust.  She is also survived by her siblings, John Kuettner, Jean DeBrosse, Ron Kuettner, Connie Brown, and Steve Kuettner.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 26, at 10:00 am at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home, 1947 E. Seminole Street, Springfield, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Watching Over Whiskers, 3014 E. Sunshine Street, Springfield, Missouri, 65804, or the website is watchingoverwhiskers.org.
