Denton Shelby Ingram, age 84 of Nixa, MO passed away at 4:40 a.m. on Sunday, January 8, 2017 surrounded by family.

Denton was a hard worker, and he was running his business up to a week before his death. He loved his family, gardening and taking care of his yard.

He was preceded in death by his father Denton Ingram; mother Ethel Elizabeth Ingram Cantrel; and sister Vivian Ingram Stone.

He is survived by daughter Debbie and husband Kevin Singleton; granddaughter Stacey and husband Micah Gibbons; grandson Jeremy and wife Megan Singleton, all of Springfield, MO; younger sister Carol and husband Tony McGuire, Russellville, KY; nephew Jeff and wife Melanie McGuire, Oxford, MI; and niece Melissa McGuire, New Orleans, LA.

Celebration services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2017 with Rev. Gene Gibbons officiating in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Burial will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery. A visitation will be held Sunday, January 15, 2017 from 6 to 8:00 p.m. at Century Lanes.
