Dennis Joseph Grob, 67, passed away, in his home, on Saturday, July 11, 2020 after a long illness. Dennis was born on November 9, 1952 in Florissant, Missouri; the second child to Vernon and Mary Alice Grob.
Dennis graduated from Kickapoo High School in 1972. In 1973, he met his beloved wife, Mary Elizabeth Kidd, while working at Sambo's; they were united in marriage on May 25, 1974. Dennis and Mary were married 46 years and from this union had six children, two daughters and four sons. In 1981, Dennis received his Bachelor of Science degree from SMSU in Industrial Management, however, he pursued a career in the construction business beginning with Howard Bailey Company. In 2005, Dennis started his own painting and small projects business working until 2012 when his health forced his retirement.
Dennis was proceeded in death by his two youngest sons, Justin and Jared, and his parents. Dennis is survived by wife, Mary; his daughter Teresa Harper and husband Jason of Rogersville, Missouri; his son Jason Grob and wife Heather (Remsen) of Lexington Park, Maryland; his daughter Tracy Novreske and husband Daniel of Santa Rosa, California; and his son Joshua Grob of Springfield, Missouri. He is also survived by his grandchildren Travis, Lucas, and Shelby Harper, Anastasia and Avery Novreske, and Skyler Grob; his brother James Grob, Colorado Springs, Colorado; along with numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Dennis enjoyed helping others and was a perfectionist with his trade. He took pride in his work to ensure his customers were satisfied. Dennis was a man of few words, but he loved his family in his own special way with no qualms when spoiling his grandkids.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 17, 2020, 9:00am at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, located at 460 Aldersgate Drive, Nixa, Missouri, followed by a Celebration of Life service. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
