Dennis "Denny" Robert Cantrell, 71, passed away, peacefully on Friday, August 26, 2022 with his children by his side. He was born on January 25, 1951 to Bill and Bobbie Cantrell of Springfield, MO.

He graduated from Glendale High School in 1969 where he enjoyed playing football. He then served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Throughout his life he was involved in several different career paths including the railroad, insurance and real-estate. His most recent work was sales at The Wilderness Club in Ridgedale, MO. He was a nature enthusiast and lover of all animals. His love for dogs earned him the name "Barka" which he was called by his 3 treasured grandchildren. Those that knew him well could always expect sarcasm and brutal honesty when in his company. He will be remembered for his culinary creativity and wood-working skills.

Denny is survived by his daughter, Lindsey Cantrell Price (James); his son, Boone Phillips Cantrell (Kristin); and grandchildren, Broden and Knox Cantrell and Vivian Price. He is also survived by his sister, Robin Hogg of Texas.

A celebration of his life will be held at Great Escapes Beer Works, Springfield, MO on Sunday, September 18, from 12-2p.m.
