Declan Ray Howard, beloved son and brother, was born on May 2, 2024, in Springfield, Missouri, and passed away peacefully in his parents' arms on December 2, 2024, at the tender age of seven months. Though his time with us was short, Declan's impact on those who had the privilege of knowing him was profound and lasting.

From the moment he entered this world, Declan demonstrated a remarkable resilience and strength, earning the title of a true little fighter. His days were filled with happiness, a testament to his joyful spirit. Those who met Declan were often greeted with the most heartwarming smile that had the magical ability to lift spirits even during the toughest of days.

Declan loved listening to the soothing sound of voices, whether it was his parents gently chatting with him or someone reading a story. These moments brought out his brightest smiles and made a world that was just opening up to him feel comforting and full of love. His presence was a gift, and his peaceful nature was a source of warmth and hope to his family, who adored him.

He is survived by his parents, Matthew Thomas Howard and Kiara Marie Alexandria Howard, who cherish every moment spent with Declan and hold him lovingly in their hearts. Declan's two brothers, Conor Matthew Howard and Ronan Patrick Howard, carry with them fond memories of their beautiful baby brother who brightened their days with his joyful presence.

Declan's life will be celebrated on December 12, 2024, at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home in Springfield, Missouri, with services beginning at 10 AM, led by Pastor Buddy Boyd. Following the service, a visitation will take place from 11 AM to 12 PM, providing an opportunity to reflect on the joy Declan brought into the world and to support one another in love.
