IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Deborah Ann
Shinn
March 30, 1951 – July 3, 2023
Deborah Ann Shinn was born on March 30th, 1951. She was the second child of 8 born to Cloye and Laverne Lea of Stockton, California, who later moved to Rogersville, MO. Sadly, she passed away peacefully in Catoosa, OK on Monday, July 3rd, 2023.
Debbie was a free spirit and while she lived an unconventional life, she has always loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a Christian woman and knew the Bible very well.
She treasured spending time with her sisters and other loved ones. She had an amazing sense of humor and loved to laugh and cut up! In her early years, she was very artistic, and liked to paint. She also enjoyed cooking. She owned her own restaurant, The Red Apple Grill, in West Plains, MO. She loved clothes and dressing nice and had a keen sense of fashion.
She lived and loved fiercely and was bold in everything she did. While she may not have been a traditional mother, she truly loved her children and grandchildren.
In her most recent years, she enjoyed spending time with her daughter and grandchildren in Oklahoma. Most conversations she had, included anecdotes of her daughter and the twins, Abigail and Michael. Their lives will be forever impacted by her absence.
She remained strong-willed throughout her life and has always shown no fear. She was passionate, and independent. Even in her last moments she was not afraid, as her heart was with God.
She leaves behind two sons, Stephen Boyd, Jr and his wife Melissa, of Forsyth, MO, Christopher Boyd, of Clinton, MO, and her daughter, Cynthia Tyler and her husband Michael Klauser, of Owasso, OK; grandchildren, Stephanie Reaves, Stephen Boyd, Kevin Tyler, Abigail and Michael Klauser; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Jordan, Amelia, Noah and Eli. She is also survived by her brothers and their wives, Cloye Lea Jr. and wife Rita of Nixa, Paul and Kathie Lea of Springfield, Randy and Peggy Lea of Springfield, sister-in-law Deborah Lea, of Springfield, and brother-in-law Cecil Keene, of Springfield.
Her body is free and no longer suffering. Her soul is now with God! She has rejoined her sisters, Cindy, Kathy, and Cherria Gayle, her brother, Mike, and her mom and dad. They are all in heaven and she missed them dearly. She will forever be loved and missed.
Memorial Service will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 14, 2023, at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home.
