Deborah S. Shemwell, age 64 of Springfield, MO passed away at 2:08pm Friday, August 11, 2023, in her home.

She was born the daughter of George and Jean Shemwell in Memphis, TN.

Deborah is preceded in death by her parents; sister Teresa Jenné (Butch); brother Billy Shemwell (Yonna); and nephews Garrett Graves and Michael Shemwell.

She is survived by her husband Sam Purdy; sons Austin Purdy and Chad Purdy, all of Springfield, MO; daughter Shanna Purdy and grandson Liam Ramos of San Antonio, TX; siblings Mike Shemwell (Sharon), Bubba Shemwell, Libby Graves, Jimmy Shemwell (Penny), of Memphis, TN; in-laws Dan and Yvonne Purdy, of Osceola, MO; brother-in-law Sean Purdy, of Osceola, MO; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at the home of Deborah and Sam Purdy, from the hours of 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Address will be kindly provided upon request. Please feel free to reach out to Sam at 417-880-7351.

Deborah will be laid to rest at the Forest Hill-East Funeral Home in Memphis, TN. Date and time to be announced.
