Deanna J. (Painter) Griffin, age 67 of Springfield, was born in rural Seymour, MO on August 30, 1946 and passed away on October 28, 2013 in her home surrounded by her family. Deanna was born at her grandparents' farm house to Glenn and Geraldine Painter. Upon graduating high school in Ava, MO, she went to Drury University and finished her physical therapy degree at University of Missouri. In 1968, Deanna married Merrill Dean Griffin in Springfield. They had one son, Michael. Upon Dean's retirement from the Air Force they settled in Parsons, Kansas, where she worked for LCMC, Cripple Children's Clinic and Tri-County Services. After Dean passed away, Deanna moved back to Springfield in 2002 to be close to her family. In 2007, Deanna married Jack Robison who shared her passion for music and travel. Deanna loved and cherished her family, friends, the outdoors, fellowship and above all, faith. She was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Deanna was preceded in death by her first husband Dean and her father Glenn. She is survived by her husband Jack, mother Geraldine, son Michael and his wife Miia of Longmont CO, and granddaughter Alexandria Griffin of Emporia, KS. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. November 9, 2013 in Ridgecrest Baptist Church with Pastor Hosea Bilyeu officiating.
