David Lewis Walling, 66, died unexpectedly on Sunday, January 25, 2015. He was born October 3, 1948 in Springfield, Missouri, to the late Ralph and Effie "Doe" (Coday) Walling. He graduated from Marshall High School and Missouri State University. Dave married Vicky Gann on July 4, 1970. He was employed many years at Montgomery GMC, International, and Peterbilt of Springfield. He attended Bois D'Arc UMC. Dave is survived by his wife, Vicky; son Jeremy and wife Breanna, and grandson Jefferson, Cape Girardeau, Mo.; brother Paul Walling and Becky Ball, Springfield, Mo.; niece Katie Hanney and husband Jack, Columbia, Mo.; Sharron Walling and nephew Max Walling, Springfield, Mo; Dave, Leonda and Joby Raines, Marshall, Mo. He was preceded in death by brother James Coday Walling. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 2:00 PM in Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home with Rev. Kim Polchow officiating. Visitation will precede the service from 1 to 2:00 PM in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
