We are celebrating the life and mourning the great loss of David Perry Musgrave. Born Dec. 21, 1937 in Salem, IL and passed Dec. 23, 2015 in Springfield, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton Perry Musgrave and Jessie Marie Blackburn Musgrave, and his daughter, Melody Lynn Musgrave.
He is survived by his wife Marcy, his sister Carolyn, and his children David Kyle, Mark Andrew Driscoll, Mathew Perry, Scott Clifton, Jennifer Lynn, and Jason Paul. Also by his grandchildren Jesse Beason, Jodi Long, Phallen Stevenson, Morgan Musgrave, Connor Driscoll, Caitlin Driscoll, Hunter Musgrave, John Baumgardner, Lucy Baumgardner, Clio Baumgardner, Scott Musgrave, Vincent Musgrave, Phoebe Baumgardner, and Valentine Musgrave; and his great grandchildren Alexis Long, Brock Long, and Gauge Stephenson.
David will always be remembered as a great musician whose talent took him all over the world to work with other talented and famous artists. His tremendous abilities to work with people not only helped in his professional life, but his sincere friendship endeared him to everyone who knew him.
We will miss his wry sense of humor, his sparkling blue eyes, the sounds of his steel guitar, and the wisdom he shared.
Our hearts are broken but anticipate our reunion with our most dear and beautiful Friend.
