David Curtis Lemen, 80, of Springfield, MO, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 2, 2015 with his family at his side. He was born in Unionville, MO to Ivalee Lemen on March 8, 1934. He served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was a Commercial Underwriter for Property and Casualty Insurance. David was an excellent storyteller and enjoyed camping, fishing, and reading in his later years. He was a member of Glendale Christian Church and served His Lord as a faithful Christian. He was preceded in death by his mother and his wife, Rita of 52 years. He is survived by a son, Curt Lemen; daughter, Lizanne Hamilton and husband John, both of Springfield; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. No formal services are planned at this time.
