David C. Fesperman, 88, of Springfield passed away Sunday December 25, 2011. David was born March 4th 1923 to Orville and Vivan Fesperman and was a graduate of Central High School class of 1941. David married Harriet Stone February 19th, 1953 and she survives. Dave was a veteran of World War II, and a member of Kingsway United Methodist Church, the Downtown Kiwanis Association, United #5 Masonic Lodge-Springfield, Valley of Joplin Scottish Rite, and the Abou Ben Adhem Shrine. Dave retired from a career with the B.F. Goodrich Company and enjoyed farming after retirement. Survivors include his wife of the home, a brother Darrell and wife Kathleen of Springfield, one son Mark, of Rogersville, granddaughters Michelle Hardman and husband Lance of Lamar and Magan and Meranda Fesperman of Rogersville, great grandkids Lakin, Luke, Taylor and Landon Hardman of Lamar, numerous nieces and nephews and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Donald, two sons Mike and Robert. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 6-8 pm, followed by Masonic Services, in the Gorman-Scharpf Brentwood Chapel. Funeral services will take place Thursday at 10 am at Kingsway United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Rivermonte Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or St. Johns Hospice. The family wishes to thank St. John's Hospice for the care of David.
